Ray has been a frequent guest on the Movie Geeks United podcast to discuss films such as KING KONG (1976), CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE THIRD KIND, STAR TREK: THE MOTION PICTURE, FOR YOUR EYES ONLY, SUPERMAN: THE MOVIE, SUPERMAN II, and SUPERMAN III with host Adam Long.

Ray has made several visits to The Hold Up podcast, where he talked about BEVERLY HILLS COP, A FISH CALLED WANDA, and the STAR WARS HOLIDAY SPECIAL with hosts John Nelson and John Longino.

Ray was a guest on the Cineversary Podcast along with Phil Tippett and Rich Correll to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the original 1933 King Kong with host Erik Martin.

Ray appeared on Geoff Boucher's Mindspace podcast, where he got to speak to the legendary entertainment journalist about King Kong, Close Encounters, Steven Spielberg, George Lucas and the state of genre filmmaking.

Ray guested on Kaiju Transmissions to discuss the Legacy of King Kong with co-host Byrd

Ray visited the Stab Gab podcast to discuss PSYCHO III with hosts Donna Rickles and Andrew Morton.

PERSONAL APPEARANCES

Ray hosted the Q&A following the American Cinematheque’s fortieth anniversary screening of the 1976 King Kong at the Aero Theatre in Santa Monica on December 10, 2016. Special guests included Rick Baker, Richard H. Kline, Jack O’Halloran, and Martha De Laurentiis.

Ray interviewed veteran screenwriter Tom Mankiewicz live on stage at Warner Bros. Studios at an event co-sponsored by Script magazine and the New York Film Academy in April 2010.

Morton was a special guest at the Alex Film Society screening of the original 1933 King Kong at the Alex Theater in Glendale, California in October 2008.

BOOK SIGNINGS

Ray signed copies of Close Encounters of the Third Kind: The Making of Steven Spielberg’s Classic Film at the Los Angeles edition of Book Expo America in June 2008.
