Saw him once at Paramount when he was filming The Presido. I was walking down an alley and a stage door swung open and out stepped Sir Sean Connery. I was about ten feet away but his sheer presence hit me like a shockwave. One of the two times I've seen a movie star in person where I could FEEL the magnetism that makes someone a star.

So many great movies: Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, You Only Live Twice, Diamonds Are Forever, Marnie, A Fine Madness, The Anderson Tapes, Robin and Marian, The Wind and The Lion, Murder on the Orient Express ,Outland, The Offence, The Name of the Rose, The Untouchables, Indiana Jones and The Last Crusdae, The Hunt for Red October, Entrapment

The first and greatest James Bond, a terrific actor, one of the great stars of the second half of the Twentieth Century, and a proud Scotsman. RIP
